Workshops
Our photography workshops are great for anyone that wants to learn more about landscape photography or an experienced photographer that just wants to get out in the right places at the right time to capture stunning images with fellow photographers. We keep the group attendance small to allow for more personalized and one-on-one instruction. All our workshops are in the field and cover topics such as the use of filters, proper exposure, long exposure, composition, etc. in a fun and friendly environment.

2023 - Fall on the Blue Ridge Parkway, Virginia
Two Workshop dates available.
October 15th - 18th and October 22nd - 25th
Join us on a 4-day photography adventure along the Blue Ridge Parkway. During this workshop we will be shooing some of the parkway’s iconic locations (Maybry Mill, Peaks of Otter, Johnson’s Farmhouse.) along with various sunsets, sunrises, and waterfalls.
This trip will entail some hikes of a few miles over some steep terrain. So, some level of fitness is required along with proper hiking footwear.
Tuition: $525 (50% Non-refundable deposit is due at signup to hold your spot. The remainder of balance is due 30 days before workshop date to confirm your participation.).
*Not covered – Lodging, meals, and transportation (we will try to carpool as much as possible as some locations have very limited parking.).

2024 - Spring on the Banks
March 8th - 13th
Join Rob Narwid Photography and Russell Pugh Photography on a 5 day adventure in the beautiful costal area of North Carolina known as the Outer Banks adventure. During your time with us we will be photographing the Milk Way along with sunrises and sunsets at many of the iconic lighthouses, piers, and other locations through out the island chain. Along with lots of photography we will be enjoying great local food and comradery.
Workshop is open to all and isn’t physically demanding as there won’t be any long or strenuous hikes.
Tuition: $800 (50% Non-refundable deposit is due at signup to hold your spot. The remainder of balance is due 30 days before workshop date to confirm your participation. Rob Narwid Photography will send and invoice for the balance due prior to the 30 day due date).

2024 – Spring in the New River Gorge, West Virginia
April 28th – May 1st
Join us on a 4-day photography adventure in the New River Gorge National Park. In this workshop we will cover photography techniques while capturing some of the iconic locations within the New River Gorge National Park and surrounding areas. Some of the locations that we will be exploring include the iconic New River Gorge Bridge, Babcock State Park/Glade Creek Grist Mill, Beauty Mountain (great sunset location with amazing views of the river.), and numerous off the beaten path waterfalls.

Claytor Nature Center — Spring Photography Class
Thursday April 11 from 6:30PM-8:30PM
Explore the trails and learn skills in nature photography at Claytor Nature
Center! Capture incredible views of the local flora and fauna in this
beginner level course. Any camera, including your phone, is welcome.
Bring your boots, bug spray and a buddy to join along! Also - be sure to
keep an eye out for more nature photography classes this summer and
fall!
